M arketing in today’s warp-speed, tech-savvy, binge-watching, ad-blocking, mobile-first world is forcing brands to rapidly adapt to changing consumer behavior or face irrelevance. Distrust for brands and distaste for advertising is at an all time high as consumers continued backlash renders many traditional campaigns expensive and ineffective. Take ad-blocking for example…50% of Millennials have installed an ad-blocking plugin into their browser, instantly erasing every pre-roll ad, banner ad, and interstitial across the entire internet. Ouch.
