M arketing in today’s warp-speed, tech-savvy, binge-watching, ad-blocking, mobile-first world is forcing brands to rapidly adapt to changing consumer behavior or face irrelevance. Distrust for brands and distaste for advertising is at an all time high as consumers continued backlash renders many traditional campaigns expensive and ineffective. Take ad-blocking for example…50% of Millennials have installed an ad-blocking plugin into their browser, instantly erasing every pre-roll ad, banner ad, and interstitial across the entire internet. Ouch.

Yet despite all the doom-and-gloom, marketing is still very much alive and well…it’s just different. More than ever consumers are willing to interact with brands who understand them, engage with them on their terms, and in a way that is authentic. Content Marketing – it’s the savior of old-school advertising.

Creating engaging content that customers want to watch is the only way forward.
