Web Design Gallery The Trial The Movie

Based on the Best Selling Novel.

After working as assistant editor on the feature film THE TRIAL, I was charged with building the website for the film. Keeping true to the historic courthouse the movie is filmed in, I used a variety of wood-based graphics to convey the feel for the film. I also edited the trailer and behind-the-scenes that are featured on the site.

Boone Dermatology Clinic

Friendly & Inviting.

Those were the words that kept echoing in my head as I built the website for the award winning medical practice, Boone Dermatology Clinic. Located in the mountains of North Carolina, BDC has one of the most beautiful medical offices I have ever seen and it was important to me to feature this office, which looks more like a lodge than a medical facility, prominently throughout the site. However, just because the building looks like a good place to stay warm on a cold winter day doesn't mean that they aren't practicing cutting edge medicine. The balance between "warm and friendly" and "modern medicine" was carefully cultivated to invite users to keep on clicking, exploring all the services that BDC has to offer.

US Sports Management

Play in the Big League.

When Robert Walker (President and CEO of US Sports Management) commissioned me to revamp their website, I knew I needed to present a young, fresh look to the graphics. You see, US Sports primarily recruits college football stars with NFL talent and trains them for the NFL draft. The website is one of the first places the players go to get a better feel for the company, and ultimately decide if they will sign with US Sports. Through the use of various football inspired graphics, US Sports presents a bold new look that rivals top-tier recruiting agencies.

Lucky You Films

Get Lucky.

When I first saw the rooster in the logo of film production company Lucky You Films, I knew I wanted it front and center in the website. In an effort to keep the brand as consistent as possible, the website was built to match existing graphics on the business card of owner Kent Smith. A Wordpress blog plugin allows Lucky You Films to keep adding new content to their site, without having to contact their web designer to get updates posted.

Core Technology Solutions

Error Free.

Even though being a successful IT support company has nothing to do with web design, most people may not realize the difference. Core Technology Solutions, a computer support and repair business based in Charlotte, NC, needed a website that would not only provide information to potential clients, but one that would appear both professional and up-to-date. Using the best of Web 2.0 simplistic design, I designed a site that was clean, simple, and easy to navigate.

Arborcrest Gardens

Go Green.

With plenty of curved panels, pictures of beautiful landscaping and lots of green, the website for Arborcrest Gardens puts a modern spin on a classic pastime: gardening. I wanted to let the pictures and information really stand out and speak for themselves, so the website interface is kept to a minimum. Splashes of blue and orange are sampled straight out of the sky and flowers in imagery on the site to give a boost of color via hyperlinks and navigation bars.

Two Hours in the Dark

"Based on the true story of Frank Capra"

Frank Capra was one of the greatest filmmakers that ever lived. Two Hours in the Dark explores a portion of Capra's life where he struggles to find the inspiration for his films, ultimately leading to such classics as "Its A Wonderful Life". When creating the web site, I wanted to give users a feel for the film through the graphics, and most importantly, I wanted the site to be an easy place for audiences to view the trailer.
